Belfast

So last week I went to Belfast to meet up with Sam. Belfast has changed sooooo much from what I remember of it, however the weather was the same......cloudy and miserable. I was only there for two nights, so we wanted to make the most of it, but first stop was a pub to watch the football (oh my god I automatically typed that - shoot me now)....the soccer sorry. So had a nice pub dinner there, and then after that we came outside and it was dark :( so off to the shops it was. Ireland (north/south) has the best fashion - more smart casual than anything else, but good clothes, so Sam bought a few things.

Anyway after that we wanted to go see a movie (boring people we know), so we stopped this couple to ask for directions, and they started explaining to us where to go....after a few minutes the guy goes, are u going there now, so we replied yes,........they then go we can give u a lift, our car is just round the corner and we are going there anyway.....so we hopped in - who does that kind of thing?????? such nice people - the cutest couple!!! They were planning their wedding...awwwww

Anyway the next day we decided to hire a car and drive outside Belfast, up the coast to Giants Causeway - a few hours later we got there - the countryside was beautiful - the rain continued to pour, and the clouds never left (damn Irish weather!!!). Once we got there we had to leave our car and walk - not nice at all!!! But it was amazing to see.....firstly we walked along the cliff top until we realised it was going nowhere, so then we hopped on a bus which took us down to the shore....It was amazing......great to go to.....After that stop we went to a little town and had fish'n'chips for dinner.....

We continued on until Londonderry, better known as Derry I believe, and then turned around and drove back, in the dark of course, as it was 4:45pm!!!!

Overall was a great little outing......look forward to the big trip next week - Athens, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona etc etc......
